Understanding CPTSD, Narcissism and Its Impact: Finding Your Way Back to You

Hello,

Bridgette Morris here from the Healing Life Institute. If you're feeling the after effects of a relationship with a narcissistic person, or if you're coming to terms with a parent's narcissistic behavior, it's essential to recognize that these experiences can be deeply traumatizing. Narcissism, much like other pervasive disorders such as alcoholism, not only affects the individual but also profoundly impacts their loved ones.

Living with or around a narcissistic person can leave you with complex emotional wounds, often leading to what is known as Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD). This condition arises from enduring prolonged periods of psychological trauma where escape seems impossible. If you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as persistent sadness, emotional numbness, or reliving traumatic memories, it's important to know that these are not reflections of your character but signs of significant stress experienced over time.

At the Healing Life Institute, we understand how the invisible scars left by being around a narcissistic person can be misunderstood or overlooked. The isolation that comes with these relationships can be debilitating. You might have spent years adjusting your behavior, doubting your feelings, and losing sight of who you truly are.

We're here to help you heal. Our community and therapeutic approaches provide a supportive environment where you can begin to unpack the impact of narcissistic abuse. We offer tools and strategies designed to validate your experiences and facilitate recovery from C-PTSD. At our institute, your feelings are seen as valid, your experiences are taken seriously, and your healing is our priority.

You do not have to navigate this path alone. Every step you take towards recovery is a step towards rediscovering your self-worth and reclaiming your life. Let us walk with you back to a place where you can feel whole again. Click here to book a session.

With compassion and understanding,
